Bridal Shower First

by Corrine

Last night, I went to Sam’s bridal shower at Parque Espana in Alabang. Sam is Chester’s fiance. Chester is one of Babe’s barkada. I was a little hesitant to go to the party for two reasons:

  1. I knew I would be the only 22-year-old in a sea of 27-year-old girls.
  2. I had my period and the dress code was “sexy white.”

I came to the party anyway. As I was walking to the room, I saw this sign and couldn’t help but let out a tiny giggle. I knew I was about to ring the right room.

Welcome to the wild side!

When I arrived, only Evita and Roselle were there. The suite was decked out with so many kinky items. There were condoms everywhere! Condom balloons hanging, p*nis lollipops taped on the wall, and they even printed out sexual positions and taped it on the wall.

Cute little thingies from Kink Cakes! :)

There were also these two boxes of super cute d*ck cupcakes!

More birdie cupcakes!

We molded our own d*ck complete with balls! Haha! We lost the game though. The other team molded a better “head” compared to ours. Haha :D

The highlight of the night was when the stripper treated the girls to a  very acrobatic dance number. Hahaha! Me and the girls were so terrified! I squeezed myself beside Nikki whenever the stripper would dance in front of us. I don’t think I’ve ever shrieked that loud before. Boys are cute, but not when their “thingies” are hanging out–hard. LOL. I swear we were so shocked to see the stripper holding his thingy, shaking it in front of the girls, and gyrating. Eeewy.

Sam and the stripper. Evita just had to insert those clip-arts to maintain GP rating. :D
We told the stripper not to do that to us. Haha.

This is my first bridal shower experience and Evita has more revealing photos of the stripper but I’d rather not post ‘em here. This is definitely a memorable night. More pictures below!

I can’t wait to see Sam on November 30! Wedding bliss for you and Chester! ♥

Turning Twenty Two

by Corrine

My last day at the WVH Asia office was awesome. I arrived just before 4PM, in time to finish up some rush writing tasks for Sir Ron, collect all my belongings, and get my final paycheck. It was also Babe’s birthday so I was surprised to see boxes of pizza, rolls of cake, ice cream tubs, and more arrive at the office two hours later. Until now, I’ve no idea who bought all that stuff.

So my last day at the office was literally, a bang. I had this short farewell session with my immediate head, Sir Ron, and our Division Manager. I’ll miss everyone for sure. This company has taught me a lot. I deal with a backstabber and airhead everyday but I’ve never allowed her to destroy me the way she did the other girls. Funny thing is, I am the youngest in the company but she never once dared “touch” me, so to speak. I only have theory and all my officemate buddies seem to agree–it’s because she can’t bring somebody who’s smarter than her down. Fuck yeah. LOL.

Anyway, after work, we proceeded to Madison Square in Mandaluyong to celebrate Babe’s birthday and mine. Cheane and Sir Kelly were also there. Sir Ron dropped by along with Ms. Marie to surprise Babe. Too bad Sir Rod wasn’t able to come. We were all talking about relationship issues and then Pao said something that made me smile–that he was a lucky man because I trusted him. And that he, in turn, treasures the trust I have for him so he will not do anything to ruin that. I was such a jealous freak before but eventually I learned to just chill and trust him. It really did pay off. I couldn’t ask for anything more, really.

Anyway, Babe got piss drunk eventually and I couldn’t wake him up. Ken and Sir Kels had to help me wake him up. I brought him home to LP and thankfully, his dad was still up. I ended up sleeping over. When we were in the cab, Babe (who was drunk at the time) and I were talking about him leaving me to work abroad.

Me: Iiwan mo ko dito?

Pao: Kailangan Babe eh.

Me: Babalikan mo ko?

Pao: Hihintayin mo ko?

Me: Of course. There’s no one else.

Come Tuesday, I’ll be with a different set of people. I’ll be starting fresh and I am praying that I meet awesome people over at my new company.

An Awesome Three Days in Puerto Galera

by Corrine

Babe picked me up at 4:30AM and off we went to Alabang to meet up with Jeff and Nini who had to wait an hour for us. Hihi. The bus ride to the pier was fast and the ferry was virtually empty. We could play tag in the ferry, as a matter of fact. Haha! When we arrived at White Beach, we all said that Puerto Galera felt like a ghost town because there were no crowd at all. During summer, people are drinking as early as 11AM.

Thankfully, the weather cooperated with us when we were at Puerto Galera. It rained at night but it didn’t rain long enough to ruin our vacation. :)  We were a group of five–Jeff and his girlfriend Nini, me and Babe, and Jay. The room we got was so nice. It was spacious, it had a dining table, a fridge, a kitchen area, and we even had our own patio. We only paid Php2,600! Total bargain!

Our first day was mostly spent on sleeping in. Although we started drinking right after we had lunch–can you believe it?? We had a bottle of brandy and three pitchers of Mindoro Sling. We went out and got ourselves a henna tattoo. Babe and I got matching henna tattoo–an ambigram of our names  that Kuya Jheerick had drawn for me before.

We both paid Php250 for our henna, by the way. If it were summer, I’m sure the price would be steeper. After I got my henna, I realized that having it on my lower back was such a bad idea because I wasn’t able to sit down for an hour or so. I’m such a klutz so Babe just had me tie my shirt around my waist and stand beside him the whole time we were drinking.

When we went back to our room, we drank some more! Haha. The next day, we decided to rent a boat and go snorkeling and probably island hopping. For Php1,000 , we had the boat for the whole afternoon. We went snorkeling and boy was it fun! When we arrived at the coral spot, we transferred to a smaller boat that brought us closer to where the corals were. From the smaller boat, we jumped into the water and held on to the rope beside the boat. The boat pulled us to where the corals where and it was so much cool. Babe and I fed fishes, got scared of how close the corals were to our bellies, and laughed at Nini who was so terrified of fishes that she was hugging the side of the boat the whole time.

After snorkeling, they took us to this underwater cave at some island. We had to crawl our way into this little opening outside cave but it was fun anyway. The rocks were a little sharp though and thankfully I didn’t hurt myself or my ass. The cave is small and during high tide, water gushes inside the cave so you can’t really get in unless you want to drown yourself. The base of the pool basin was really slippery even though we were wearing our slippers. I scraped my knee despite my extra effort.

To exit the cave, you have to climb up the cave then go down this really steep rock. While we were walking out the cave, Babe told me to be careful because I get easily bruised or “pasain” in the words of my baby. Jeff chimed and told Nini, “Beh, ingat ka. Tatanga-tanga ka pa naman!” Jeff’s comment resonated until the evening, by the way. There’s a makeshift staircase (that looks like its ready to give up anytime) that makes climbing out the cave a tad bit easier.

Emerging from the cave, you’ll be greeted by this sweeping view of the ocean. The rocks are doubly sharp here, by the way. From here, we had to climb down on our own. I’m not that scared of heights but I was terrified of tripping, landing on my butt, and peeing blood. Haha. Kidding!

After this underwater cave, we went to a nearby island and snorkeled some more. The beach was secluded but there was another boat when we arrived. The shoreline was cleaner than that of White Beach. That night, we drank some more. I was smashed! Haha. Babe understands why I got so drunk–I didn’t turn any drink down. That afternoon, we had some more brandy, a whole bottle of Vodka that only four of us drank, and Mindoro Sling. We even had tequila that night so… well… I got drunk. :) Babe walked me back to our room and let me sleep while he went back to the bar with the others.
The next day, we all woke up late–understandable. We had to check out at 1PM but we all wanted to swim some more so off we went to the beach. Babe didn’t want to swim anymore but he did anyway. After we swam, Babe realized that someone stole one of his Havaianas. Poor baby. Babe was really pissed because he just bought that last March. It hasn’t been a year and he can’t use it anymore. :( By 3PM, we were in the ferry on our way back to Batangas Pier. We saw one of the coolest things ever–a tornado! It was a little eerie at first because we saw it start as a little streak of nothing into this long twister.
Thankfully, the twister did not get any closer to our boat and we arrived at the pier safely. :)

Four Years

by Corrine

If my memory serves me right, the photos on the left were taken in 2004. The ones on the right were taken this year, 2010. This is me and my dearest girl friend Justine. I was browsing old photos again and finally decided to blog about how yucky we all looked back then.

A lot has happened in four years. Hello, weight loss. Haha! Justine’s got even prettier (thankfully she didn’t get any taller :p). Looking back, I can’t believe we looked that way during my freshman year. Eewy talaga. Our boyfriends would probably die laughing when they see these pictures.

Our looks may change in the coming years, wrinkles and stretch marks will soon barrage our front doors. But thank God I have my friends to hold my hand when I hyperventilate over a silly little wrinkle.
